This course is your perfect starting point, designed by the SIA to provide a full understanding of your role within the security industry. It covers everything from the legal aspects of CCTV to practical lessons on equipment monitoring and usage.
Upon completion, you will be qualified to apply for your SIA CCTV Operative Licence and unlock numerous employment opportunities.
Course Units
The CCTV training course runs over 4 days and consists of 2 main units, plus a practical assessment:

Working in the Private Security Industry
Understand the legal and professional standards required to work in the sector.

Working as a CCTV Operator
Learn the principles and practices of a professional CCTV operative.

Practical Use of CCTV Systems
A hands-on session where your practical skills will be visually recorded (approx. 25 mins per learner).
Enrollment Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a basic level English test before attending.
- Provide a valid Proof of ID (Passport, Driving Licence, or BRP).
- Provide 2x Proof of Address (e.g., bank statement, utility bill) no more than 3 months old.
