Course Overview
The Door Supervisor course is the perfect way to start your career, preparing you for a huge variety of roles including Retail Security, Door Supervision, Corporate Security, and Event Security. This versatile license covers everything from legal aspects to the latest physical intervention techniques.
The role is extremely demanding, so it’s important to get the best quality training. We highly recommend this license over a standard Security Guarding license for maximum career flexibility.
Important Prerequisite
It is mandatory for all applicants to have a valid Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (or equivalent) that is valid for at least one year before enrolling in this course.
Course Units
The course runs over 6 days and is divided into 4 comprehensive units:
Unit 1: Principles of Working within the Private Security Industry
Unit 2: Principles of working as a door supervisor in the private security industry
Unit 3: Application of conflict management in the private security industry
Unit 4: Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry
Documents Required for Registration
- Be at least 18 years old and pass a basic English test.
- Proof of ID: Passport, Driving Licence, or BRP card.
- 2x Proof of Address: Bank Statement, Utility Bill, Payslip, GP Letter, NI Letter, or P60/P45 (no more than 3 months old).

Unit 1 Assessment
- MCQ: 72 questions, 1h 50m, 70% pass mark
Unit 2 Assessment
- MCQ: 50 questions, 1h 15m, 70% pass mark
- Practical: Scenario Observation, 100% pass mark
Unit 3 Assessment
- MCQ: 20 questions, 30m, 70% pass mark
- Practical: Scenario Observation, 100% pass mark
Unit 4 Assessment
- MCQ: 30 questions, 45m, 80% pass mark
- Practical: Scenario Observation, 100% pass mark
